Our Foundation
Kitchen Table Sessions was originally known as The Baking Club, which was formed by Clara Stanley's love of baking while learning and teaching others to bake as well. From there, KTS has broadened to provide wonderful, informative meetings that tackle various topics of interest to the parents of Kingsley.
Clara understood the importance to children of having parents that were involved in the school, and informed about issues that are relevant in and around the community. Clara's passion for learning and offering has set a high standard for keeping the Kingsley community educated and in the know. |
When Clara and her family (sadly) left Evanston, Tasha Triplett took over as the new KTS Coordinator. Tasha and her husband, Ernest, both went to Evanston schools. Hoping to pick up where Clara left off, Tasha plans to add new topics of interest to KTS in order to broaden the spectrum of discussing bigger issues, reaching more people, and having fun.
Kicking off this task, KTS has added Courageous Conversations in partnership with Kingsley COPE. The goal of KTS is to remain informative while building relationships in the Kingsley Community. |
About Kitchen Table Sessions
KTS (Kitchen Table Sessions) is a group of Kingsley parents that meet on a monthly basis throughout
the school year to discuss informative topics that will enrich Kingsley families and the Kingsley community alike.
KTS is an open forum for discussion of a wide range of issues, and welcomes all parents to join in the conversation.
The KTS mission is to open up our minds to topics and issues that we may not have
thought about on our own and to have an opportunity to talk about them with fellow
parents who are also professionals with experience and knowledge on these topics.
KTS is also a great opportunity to build relationships and friendships with other parents and to
stay informed about and involved in the happenings in and around our school and the community.
KTS is open to suggestions for topic of meetings, so please feel free to email me directly.
